Lit like the table
A single pool of warm light and deep surrounding shadow — a room, not a dashboard.
Arena 04 — Precision
The quietest arena we build, and the one most people underestimate. Snooker is a game of restraint, and the interface is built to match it rather than to compensate for it.
The Arena
Snooker asks you to sit with tension for a long time. A frame can hinge on a safety exchange that produces nothing at all for four minutes, and the entire point is that you feel those four minutes.
Every instinct in interface design says fill that space. We deliberately did not. The snooker arena is the darkest and stillest room on the platform, lit like the table itself — one pool of warm light, everything else in shadow.
It is the arena where our restraint principle gets its hardest test, and the one we are quietly proudest of.
“Four minutes of nothing happening is not a gap to fill. It is the sport.”
What Sets It Apart
Four decisions that shape how the Snooker arena behaves — and how it differs from the other five rooms on the platform.
A single pool of warm light and deep surrounding shadow — a room, not a dashboard.
Nothing pulses, flashes or demands your attention while a safety battle plays itself out.
Where the frame stands and what is still on the table, without turning any of it into a spreadsheet.
Fine detail and low contrast are hard on mobile, so this layout was drawn for the phone first.
How You Play
The shapes the sport takes, from a season-long circuit to a single visit to the table.
The circuit that decides a season, frame by frame across several days.
Shorter fields, higher stakes and a format that rewards nerve over accumulation.
The everyday shape of the sport: a race to a number, decided by whoever blinks last.
The purest form — one visit, one table, and how far a player can go before the run ends.
